Installing the chat

One line on your website โ€” and what to do if you have no website at all.

One line on your website

Copy this into your website's pages, just before the closing </body> tag:

<script src="https://vizochat.com/widget.js" data-id="yourname"></script>

Replace yourname with your own chat-link address โ€” you can see it in your panel under Widget & link.

That is the whole installation. The chat bubble appears at the bottom right, and messages start arriving in your panel immediately.

WordPress

  1. In your dashboard go to Appearance โ†’ Theme File Editor, or use any "insert header and footer code" plugin.
  2. Paste the line above into the footer box.
  3. Save.

If your theme has a "Custom Code" or "Footer Scripts" setting, that works too. It does not matter where in the footer it goes.

Shopify, Wix, Squarespace

All three have a place for custom code:

  • Shopify โ€” Online Store โ†’ Themes โ†’ Edit code โ†’ theme.liquid, just before the closing body tag
  • Wix โ€” Settings โ†’ Custom Code โ†’ Add Custom Code โ†’ Body - end
  • Squarespace โ€” Settings โ†’ Advanced โ†’ Code Injection โ†’ Footer

No website at all?

You do not need one. Every business gets a chat page of its own:

vizochat.com/yourname

Put that link in your Facebook page, your Instagram bio, your printed card or a QR code, and customers can chat with you without you owning a website.

Checking it works

  1. Open your website in a private/incognito window โ€” so you arrive as a stranger would.
  2. Click the chat bubble and send a message.
  3. It should appear in your panel's inbox within a second or two.

If nothing appears, see When the chat does not appear.
